JOY MIDDLEBROOK KARNES LIMOGE, ESQ
Joy Karnes Limoge, Esq. started the Law Offices of Joy Middlebrook Karnes, Esq. in 1995. Already President and CEO of O’Cieran & Middlebrook, Inc (a full service Uniform Commercial Code filing and search company operating throughout the United States) Ms. Limoge wanted to return to the daily practice of law. Starting as a part time practice emphasizing in real estate, the firm became a full time enterprise within a few short months. It has expanded to encompass the needs of its clients including residential and commercial real estate, estate planning, corporate law, family law and general civil litigation.
Ms. Limoge completed her undergraduate work at the University of Vermont earning BA degrees in Political Science and English and a Minor in Music. She earned her JD at Vermont Law School. Ms. Limoge is a member of the Chittenden County Bar Association, The Vermont Bar Association and The American Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and an Affiliate member of the Northwestern Vermont Board of Realtors. She has served as lecturer for NACM on UCC law and for the National Business Institute and Vermont Board of Realtors on legal ethics and real estate law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont.
An avid lover of the Arts, Ms. Limoge is a supporter of The Flynn and active on various boards and committees including the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and The Brick House at Shelburne Farms. She is also involved with Therapy Dog of Vermont and a former member of Williston Rescue. In her spare time Ms. Limoge enjoys playing flute and piano, traveling, scuba diving, gardening, tennis, running and alpine skiing.
